The School of Music has a limited number of music scholarships available for freshmen and transfer students in the form of partial or full tuition waivers for Fall and Spring semester. The awards are available to non-music majors, but preference is given to music majors.

Dates to audition for the School of Music announced:

All auditions to be held at the School of Music, Altgeld Hall, Carbondale, IL.
January 23, 2010
February 5, 2010 (Heartland Honor Band and Choir participants only)
February 15, 2010
or by appointment.

Audition Repertoire Information

Faculty

Audition procedures may vary, but in general you should prepare a solo (preferably accompanied) and any other musical selections you are currently studying which you feel would best demonstrate your musicianship. Instrumentalists may also be asked to play scales and to sight-read.
